single-use plastic in India is a big problem and we use about 14 million of tonnes of plastic annually, lack of an organized system for management of plastic waste, leading to widespread littering. plastic waste is at epidemic proportions in the world's oceans with an estimated 100 million tonnes dumped there to date, according to the united nations. scientists have found a large amount of microplastic in the intestines of deep-dwelling oceans mammals like whales.

ON HUMANS  it major because of the chemical additives used during plastic production, plastic has a potentially harmful effect on human health. indeed, exposure to toxic chemicals coming out of plastic can cause cancer, birth effects, impaired immunity, and other health problems.
