WHITE FLOUR OR POISON


white flour or commonly known as MAIDA in India is turning out to be a poison. it is a superrefine form of wheat eaten by us in the form of bread, noodles, or roti. a large number of cuisine in the world use white flour(maida) as its main ingredient.there have been several pages and posts on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter which talks about the problems in consuming white flour(maida) but still people consume them and sacrifices their health.

if we look at the records, these days number of people falling sick because of eating excessive white flour(maida) dishes are more then to those who fall sick because of dengue, malaria, viral infection, and indigestion.

lets see why we are calling it white flour or poison

actually white flour is been made of wheat, wheat grain is mainly divided into three parts.

1 outer skin called bran
2 the middle part is endosperm
3 the innermost part is germ

wheat is filled with nutrients like healthy fat, vitamin b, vitamin e, protein, fiber, iron, carbohydrates etc, and all these nutrients are found in bran and germ mostly. when wheat goes through the heavy processing machinery system for converting into the thin powder then grem and bran get destroyed because of heat and the only endosperm remains there in the form of the refined powder.

           comparing to today's advanced machinery system earlier in India or southeast Asia we had hand processing equipment (CHAKKI) in every house which provides less heat to wheat which helps in preserving the nutritional value of wheat and that outcome used to have crystals of wheat called whole wheat flour.
           highly refined flour is not good for our heart, brain, and stomach. problems like fat, headache, acidity, ulcer, fatty liver, and malnutrition occur because of white flour.it is really next to impossible to buy a personal machine at home to refine the wheat so the question arises what to do?
            first of all, try to avoid costly and branded packed flours and try to buy flour from local chakki and on top of it request them to give thick crystal-based wheat flour. initially, you might feel different while eating because of its thickness but after a few days when you realize the good effect of whole wheat flour on your body then you will love it.

multigrain flour 

you must have heard of multi-grain flour too, when more than one grain is being mixed together then the flour is known as multigrain flour. grains like sorghum(jawar), millet(bajra), buckwheat(kuttu), soya and chana etc

multigrain flour are considered more beneficial for health compared to white flour or whole grain flour because in wheat we can have 2 types of protein GLUTENIN and GLIADIN and in the process of making the roti it became GLUTEN which is not healthy for most people. GLUTEN is not good for the immune system and it can cause digestion problems, whereas MULTIGRAIN FLOUR has less glutin and more nutrients
            there is huge difference between the roti we eat 50 years back and what we are eating now that is why we call it white flour or poison, all thanks to big FMCG's not to follow food securities regulations and because of it in whole Southeast Asia and specifically in India cases of indigestion, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, liver and kidney problems are found significantly.

its time now that we have to change our lifestyle habits to avoid many diseases because it's we who change this world and change should start from us.
